Sweet Valley Junior High: Too Popular
Sent in by Georgina Howard
Ronald Rheece, nerd of the universe, is
staying at the Wakefields house because
his
parents know Mr. and Mrs. Wakefield, and Ronald's parents
are going away for a one day trip. Jessica make sure it stays
a secret.
She doesn't want Damon Ross to think she LIKED Ronald! When Ronald
stays the night, Jessica learns that
he has a stuffed bear that he sleeps with
every night. At school on Monday, Ronald starts talking really loudly that he
had fun at Jessica's house. Jessica tells him to shut up and threatens to tell
everyone about his bear. While she
threatens him about the bear, two bullies
over hear about it. Then they start bullying Ronald.
Damon really liked Jessica, but now he thinks she's a
little mean because she shouted
something embarrassing about
Ronald in the hallway, and now she won't stick up for him! In the end, she does stick up
for him, and she thinks Damon hates her guts. But then he finally
asks her out at the very end. While all this is
happening, the elections for eighth
grade class president are going on. Bethel McCoy is running, and Jessica is her
campaign manager. Then Jessica decides not to be because she finds out
Kristen Seltzler is running too! So Jessica
stays out of it completely. Kristen
wins, and Bethel is mad at Jessica. Then she forgives her, and that's that.

Jessica is chosen by the principle
to gather a committee and be head of the homecoming
dance.
She's thrilled, and she picks a committee of all her friends, Bethel McCoy,
Damon Ross, Kristen Seltzler, Brian
Rainey, and Ronald Rheece, who invited
himself in. The first meeting is awful! Everyone is arguing! Elizabeth runs
into
Charmaine, editor of the Spectator. She asks how the dance is going, and
Elizabeth pretends to be Jessica and
says the dance is wonderful and everything
is on track. But after some more meetings, things get worse! The committee
is
arguing more than ever! Elizabeth tells Jessica what she told Charmaine, and
now Jessica is furious! There's no
way she can back down now, like she
wanted to! So Elizabeth says she'll switch places with Jessica, and Elizabeth,
pretending
to be Jessica, will head the committee. When Elizabeth shows up
to her first meeting, (as Jessica) everyone is unconvinced
that Jessica is Jessica.
They all know the truth, but keep quiet about it.
The committee all feel sorry
that they argued so much Jessica had to have
Elizabeth take her place. So they stop arguing and make the dance better
than
ever. They go to Jessica's house and apologize the night of the dance. Jessica
agrees to go and is happy.
Damon, of course, is her date, and . . .
that's pretty much all.
Sweet Valley High: #24 Memories
Sent in by Fiona Samuel
Elizabeth's and
Jessica's brother Steven
finds he has some feelings for Cara Walker,
who was once the most flirtatious girl in Sweet Valley.
After Steven's girlfriend Tricia died of leukemia, Steven
hasn't even
glanced at anyone else.
But when Cara's
parents divorce they find a lot in common,
cause Cara knows how hard
it is to lose someone close. Tricia's
sister Betsy accuses Steven for forgetting Tricia and Steven is hurt.
He can't
deny her feelings for Cara but will he ever be able to love anyone else?
Elizabeth is also having trouble with love. Her boyfriend
Todd just moved to Vermont
and Elizabeth is lonely. But
then she meets a guy who looks very much like Todd, and likes sports...
I think 'Memories' was a cool book. It's no different than
the others but there's
a lot emotional parts so Jessica handles the action.
